This cookbook celebrates the bountiful fresh, local foods that we enjoy through all four seasons at the Market. The recipes came from a wide range of farmers, vendors, shoppers, chefs and Friends of the Market. The chosen recipes had to feature Market ingredients, be relatively easy to prepare at home, and taste delicious. A talented corps of Friend of the Market stepped up to test all the recipes for both deliciousness and accurate.
Uniquely flavoring the book are the stories and images that share the “Market Experience” – the joy of fresh seasonal produce, meeting the farmers who grow our food, then preparing and sharing those foods with friends and family.
This 8 1/2 by 11 inch full color cookbook features 84 pages of delicious recipes that showcase foods from the Market. Each recipe is introduced with a brief “story” that tells this history of the recipe, or its connection to the Market. Fabulous photos throughout the book provide a visual banquet of the Market and its wonderful food, and the farmers and vendors who provide them to us.
